Lori M. Jones is an award-winning author of women's & children's fiction and a fierce advocate for congenital heart defect awareness and research. Her first children's book, RILEY'S HEART MACHINE, was inspired by her own daughter’s heart defect and pacemaker, and her middle-grade novel, FREAKY HEART, follows the trials of a young teen with a complex heart condition.
Lori formerly held an exec position on The Children's Heart Foundation Board of Directors and still serves on their committees. She also served as the chair of the Pittsburgh Congenital Heart Walks for seven years. She now works for the non-profit, Bethany Christian Services.
She enjoys traveling to schools to deliver assemblies on writing stories from the heart. Lori resides in Pittsburgh where her favorite past times are cheering for her Pittsburgh sports teams and hanging out with her family and rescue dog. Visit her website at www.lorimjones.com.
