Katie Bales works at the intersection of pediatric medical device innovation and nonprofit strategy, with a focus on advancing technologies for children with congenital heart disease. She currently serves as Vice President of Investor Relations at PolyVascular, a pre-clincal stage company developing a novel polymeric transcatheter pulmonary valve designed specifically for pediatric patients.
In parallel, Katie is the Founder and CEO of EverPulse, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization focused on accelerating innovation in pediatric heart care. Through strategic funding, partnerships, and ecosystem-building, EverPulse works to bridge critical gaps between early-stage innovation and clinical impact, helping promising technologies reach the children who need them most.
Katie brings a perspective that blends investor strategy, stakeholder engagement, and personal experience. As a mother to a child born with congenital heart disease, she is deeply committed to addressing longstanding gaps in pediatric device development and access. Her work is grounded in the belief that patient and family perspectives should play a central role in shaping how medical technologies are prioritized, developed, and delivered.
